Broken Moons Quilt Pattern - PDF Download
The moon, with its rhythmic waxing and waning, has always captivated me, mirroring the monthly cycles women experience in their reproductive years. Broken Moons is a reimagining of my earlier pattern, Many Moons, created to symbolize the harm being done to women’s rights in the United States. For nearly two decades, I worked in Women’s Health as an RN, NP, and Certified Nurse Midwife, and I feel deeply about the fundamental right of women to make their own health decisions. One of the core lessons in nursing is that our role as healthcare providers is to educate, enabling individuals to make informed choices about their health. It is not the role of the government—or anyone else—to dictate those decisions. That right belongs solely to the individual. This pattern is my expression of heartbreak and advocacy for protecting these essential rights.
